ingredients
- Butter or margarine,softened 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1 1/2 cups
- Shortening 1/2 cup
- eggs 2 pcs
- Gold medal all purpose or unbleached flour 2 3/4 cups
- Cream of tartar 2 teaspoons
- Baking soda 1 teasspoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- Sugar 1/4 cup
- Ground cinnamon 2 teaspoon
Directions
- Heat oven to 400 F
- Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar,the butter,eggs and shortening in large bowl,stir in flour,cream of tartar,salt and baking soda
- Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls,mix 1/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon,roll balls in cinamon sugar mixture,pleace 2 inches apart on ungreased cookies sheet
- Bake 6-10 minutes or until set,remove from cookie sheet to wire rack

Candy Cane Cookies
Ingredents
- Milk 1/2 cup
- sugar 1 cup
- Butter or margarine 1 cup (softened)
- Vanilla 1 teaspoons
- Egg 1
- pepermint extract 1 teaspoon
- Gold metal all purpose flour 3 1/2 sups
- Salt 1/4 teasponn
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon
- Red food color 1/2 teaspoon
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- finely crushed pepermint candies 2 tablespoons
Directions
- Stir together the butter,milk, 1 cup sugar,vanilla,pepermint extract and egg in large bowl,stir in flour,salt and baking powder,devide dough in half,stir food coor into 1 half,cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours
- Heat oven to 375 F
- Stir together pepermint candy and 2 tablespoon sugar and pepermint candy,set aside
- For each candy cane,shape 1 rounded teaspoon dough from each half into 4 inch rope by rolling back and forth on floured surface,place 1 red and white rope side by side,press to gether twist and lightly,place on ungreased cookies sheet,curve top of cookie down to handle of cane
- Cancy cane cookies ready to be served
Apple Crisp Pancakes
IngredentsSreusel topping
- Brown sugar 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed
- Purpose flour 1/4 cup gold metal
- Fashioned or quick cooking oats 1/4 cup
- Cold butter 2 tablespons plus 2 teaspoons
Pancakes
- Original Bisquick 2 cups ( mix)
- Ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspon
- Ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon
- Milk 1 cup
- eggs 2 pcs
- Peeled diced granny smith apple (1/4 inch) 1 Cup
Toppings,if Desired
- Real maple syrup
- powdered sugar
- Sweetened whipped cream
Directions
- In medium bowl,mix brown sugar,flour,oats,nutmeg and cinnamon,cut in butter using patry blender or fork until mixture is crumbly,set aside
- In large bowl,stir all pancake ingredents until well blendede,heat nonstick griddle to 350 F or 12 inch skillet over medium high heat,Brush lightly with vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray before heating to help prevent streusel from sticking to griddle
- For each pancake,pour 1/4 cupful batter onto hot griddle,spirinkle each pancake evenly with scant 2 tablespoons streusel mixture,cook 3-4 minutes or until bubbly on top and dry around edges,Turn. cook other side until light golden borwn around egdes about 1 minuts or 1 minutes 30 seconds,scrape off griddle betwen batches of pancake if necessary

Christmas Morning Breakfast Casserole
Ingredents
- 1 red bell pepper ,chopped
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage,any flovour
- Cremini 2 cups or white mushrooms,sliced
- Salt 2 teasponns
- peeper to taste
- 1 loaf ( 8 cups,1 inch cubes) italian bread,ciabatta or beguette
- 1 1/2 dozen (18) large eggs
- Whole milk 1 cup
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese,shredded
Directions
- Heat oven to 375 F Brown the sausage in a saute pan over medium heat for 3 minutes breaking it into bite size pieces,add the mustrooms,bell peppers,1 teaspoons salt and pepper,cook and additional 6 minutes
- In a bowl,beat milk and the eggs,add reaminung salt and cheese,stir to combine
- Add the bread cubes and cooled sausage mixture to a greased 13x9 inch baking dish,toss to combine
- Pour the egg mixture over th bread and sausge,press the bread mixture down gently to soak up some of the egg mixture
- Coverthe dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes,uncover and bake an dditional 20 minutes serve immediately
- Breakfast casserole ready to be served
Peppermint snowball cookies
Ingredents
- Finely crushed peppermint candies 1/4 cup
- powdered sugar 1/4 cup
- Butter 1 cup,softened
- vanilla 1 teaspoon
- all purpose flour 2 1/4 cups gold metal
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- powderes sugar 1/3 cup
- finely crushed pepermint candies ( 12 candies) 1/4 cup
Directions
- Heat oven to 325 F
- Mix 1/4 cup crushed candies and vanilla in medium bowl.mix 1/4 crushed candies and 1/4 cup powdered sugar,reserve,mix butter,1/3 cup powdered sugar,stir in flur and salt
- Shape dought by level measuring tablespoonfuls into balls,place about 2 inches aparton ungreased cookies sheet
- Bake 13 to 16 minutes,or until set but not brown,immediately remove from cookies sheet,roll in reserved candy mixture,Cool completely on wire rack,roll in candy mixture again
- Peppermint snowball cookies ready to be served
