Ingredients of chewy sugar cookies
- Baking soda 1 teaspoon
- all purpose flour 2 3/4 cups
- Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Softened butter 1 cup
- White sugar 1 1/2 cups
- egg 1
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Butter milk 3 to 4 tablespoons
- Sprinkles or colored sugar,for decorating

How to make this recipe?
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- In a small bowl,stir together flour,baking soda,and baking powder,set aside
- In a large bowl,cream together butter and sugar until smooth,beat in the egg and vanilla,gradually blend in dry ingrediens,
- Add enough of the buttermilk to moisten the dough and make it soft,not wet
- Roll rounded teaspoons of dought into balls and place on a ungreased cookies sheet,with a brush or fingers,moisten top of each cookie with the reamining buttermilk and slightly flateten the top of each cookie,sprinkle with raw sugar or colored sprinkles
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly golden,let stand for 2 minutes before removing to cool on a rack

Ingredients of throwdown chocolate chip cookies
- korser salt 3/4 teaspoon
- Baking soda 3/4 teaspoon
- all purpose flour 2 cups + 3 tablespoons
- Unsalted butter 2 stick,at room temperature
- Granulated sugar 1 cup
- Dark brown muscavado sugar 1/3 cup
- Light brown muscavado sugar 1/3 cup
- eggs 2
- Block semisweet chocolate one 5 ounce
- Chopped into chunks,such as callebaut
- Block milk chocolate one 5 ounce
- Chopped into chunks such as callebaut
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Line baking sheets with parchment or silicon pads
- Whisk to gether the flour,baking soda and salt in a bowl
- Place the butter in the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and beat until smooth abouth 1 minute
- Add the sugars and continue mixing,scraping down the sides and buttom of the bowl until light and fluffy,about 2 minutes longer
- Add the eggs,one at a time,and the vanilla extract
- Add the reamining flour mixing,again mixing until just combined
- Remove the bowl from the stand and fold in the chocolate chunks
- Using a small ice cream scoop,spoon the dought onto the prepared baking sheets,leaving at least 2 inches between each cookie,and bake on the middle rack until the cookies are lightly golden brown and still soft in the middle,about 11 minutes
- Let the cookies rest for 2 minutes on the baking sheets before removing them to a baking rack with a wide metal spatula
- Let the cookies cool on the baking rack for a few minutes before eating,repaet with the reamining dough
