 Cookie Recipes Easy For Kids

Ingredients

• Butter 2 cup
• Brown sugar 2 cups
• Eggs 2
• Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
• Baking soda 1 teaspoons
• Baking powder 1/2 teaspoons
• Salt 1/2 teaspoons
• all purpose flour 3 cups
• Chopped pecans 2/3 cup
• Confectioners sugar 3 1/2
• Hot water 1/2 cup

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Heat Butter over medium heat for 6 minutes or so,untl it turns nut brown in color,the foaming and bubbling is part of the browning process,but watch it carefully so that you don't burn the butter,remove from heat,and cool slightly,
3. reserve 1/2 cup of the butter for the frosting
4. Pour remaining browned butter into a large mixing bowl,breat browned butter with brown sugar until the butteris no longer hot,mix egg,baking soda,2 teaspoons vanilla extractsalt,bakig powder,Beat thoroughly,mix in flour and chooped pecans,drop tablespoons of dought onto ungreased baking sheets
5. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven,or until light brown around the edges,cool
6.  In a medium bowl,mix the reserved 1/2 cup browned butter with 2 teaspoons vanilla extract,confectioner's sugar,hot water,beat until smoot,and use to frost cooled cookies
